I have enjoyed the course, however, I did expect a bit more from the webinars by way of confirming understanding as these just appeared to repeat the online modules completed with some group work.

Good course content. David is very approachable and has a relaxed matter of fact demeanour, this helped put the group at ease making it easier to absorb course content and to break down barriers during group exercises. I enjoyed the course and learnt a lot in the process.

David was a fantastic tutor. Very knowledgable but also warm and friendly. I enjoyed his insights and his stories and personal expereinces really helped to bring life to the content. I really enjoyed the course and thought that the e-learning and resources were excellent. I feel much better prepared to support someone with a mental health issue now. Diolch yn fawr iawn

I recently had the privilege of completing the Mental Health First Aid course, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of transformative. From the get-go, the instructors Lorrisa and Kate set the tone for a supportive, inclusive, and highly engaging learning environment. One of the standout features of this course was the expert instruction from Lorrisa and Kate. They truly are subject matter experts, handling all questions with care and comprehensive knowledge. Their level of expertise not only provided the group with reliable and actionable insights but also bolstered our confidence in applying these newfound skills in real-world scenarios. When it comes to maintaining engagement over a two-week course, it's easy for things to get a bit stale. However, Lorrisa and Kate successfully held everyone's attention throughout the entire duration. Regular checks on participants' understanding of the content ensured that no one was left behind. Their interactive teaching methods made complex topics digestible, even for those who were new to the subject matter. The course emphasised the ALGEE framework, guiding us through its application in various scenarios. Lorrisa and Kate continually linked back to ALGEE, reinforcing its importance and usability. They also took the time to address any issues that arose during discussions, making sure each of us felt comfortable and capable of applying the methodology effectively. What impressed me most were the regular checks that Lorrisa and Kate incorporated to gauge our understanding and address any emerging issues. This proactive approach created a feedback loop that benefitted not just the individual with the question, but the entire class. They made sure that we all felt heard and supported, adding an extra layer of warmth to the educational experience.

Very informative course. Given all the tools needed to be a successful MHFA. Enjoyed the breakouts into smaller groups to discuss things.
