I found having to do the modules and reading the MHFA manual thought provoking - in a good way - brought to life issues, terminology, approaches etc that I would have not considered before. It was humbling that some colleagues felt safe to open up about personal issues and this made certain points of the learning clearer to understand. Great instructors in Paul & Debbie who also stressed the importance of our own safety throughout the training.

I think having the course online was ok, but feel having the group breakouts in person we'd get more engagement, i felt the course was insightful and good but would prefer in person for such indepth content. but yea very good course

The first pre-course work (modules 1-4) I did find quite difficult to complete as the site referred to an exit button top right which wasn't there, I navigated and muddled through, at end of module there were 3 occasions I hadn't marked as complete so had to redo the module to tick it off. The second time around the site was far more user friendly so I don't know if improvements had been made between the two webinars. I found the blended learning great approach, the webinars were fab, useful discussions, very knowledgeable tutor who made sure each participant was involved/gave feedback. Previously in 2017 I did my MHFA qualification in person on 2 (or 3) day training, this time the blended approach has been a great tool for me to requalify. It does involve alot more reading up on conditions etc yourself as was not as thorough as face to face previous approach I did - but I still found it extremely valuable and I got alot from doing it thank you Carol.

The course was brilliant, very interesting and engaging, I found Carol to be very knowledgeable and helpful and I would definitely recommend this course with Carol.

I have really enjoyed this course. It has encouraged me to be more confident in my approaches with talking to people. where there were niggaly doubts of would I say/do that, they have been thoroughly answered within this course. Patrick made the course a pleasure to be in and encouraged us to think for ourselves before clarifying our answers. It has made things stick with me easier. would highly recommend this to others. Thankyou for allowing me to take part and share my experiences.

The instructor was well informed and kept a good pace to the sessions. Carol's communication was clear and supportive. I am pleased to have completed the course.

Fantastic thank you so much Michelle thoroughly enjoyed it and feel far more confident in applying ALGEE to day to day situations and to support patients, staff, community and family and friends alike now and feel far more comfortable and confident with it thank you. I shall be doing the Level 2 certificate as well.

The online module / courses I found to be slightly awkward to navigate there was a lot of back and two. However, the course tutor and content were excellent and very informative.
