A safe, compassionate approach makes this difficult subject accessible: attendees value knowledgeable, empathetic trainers who create space for honest discussion without pressure. They describe clear, well-paced sessions combining practical frameworks, language, scenarios, role play, videos and breakout activities, supported by useful workbooks and signposting resources. The course helps them recognise warning signs, ask direct questions and feel more confident supporting people in crisis at work and beyond.

This has been a very positive experience. I have learnt a great deal around suicide and I also feel confident that I wouldn't shy away from trying to help somebody that I feel needs it.

First rate. I don't think this course is for everyone due to the difficult nature of the subject being discussed. However, there is clear benefit from attending it which students will be able to apply in all personal and professional circumstances. I was shocked that 5% of the population may be considering suicide at any one time - this shows its relevance. Understanding how to approach someone at risk, using empathy, listening skills with a plan is the key outcome I have taken from the course.
