SFA 02 - Suicide First Aid: Understanding Suicide Intervention Reviews

We have made it past day 3 which is amazing! Both Madhuri and Jamie have made this a beautiful experience for us all so far. I am learning more about the course and myself everyday, which I am very grateful for.

I enjoyed attending this course, having been a little apprehensive at first due to the course content. Mike was excellent thank you. I also enjoyed meeting and engaging with other professionals on the day.

Really enjoyed the course I found it interesting and expanded my knowledge and how to help manage these situations in future rather than just taking them to hospital this has given me me more tools to use.

I think the statistics shocked me most as even though I have personal experience from 2 people in my family, it was very high. I liked the fact that it was made very clear how best to help and cleared up a lot of myths and misconceptions very clearly. I am only surprised that this is not mandatory throughout the council and also in schools, as the overall impression given was the best way to help lower these statistics was to talk about it and let everyone know it was not something to be ashamed of.
