Being provided with the tools to now more confidently deal with a suicide first aid intervention
I enjoyed that it was relatable, used real life scenarios and was honest about a difficult subject
Very good online course with a sensitive subject. Good use of break out rooms and tasks to break up the day rather than just being talked at.
Really good. Was dreading it as thought there'd be lots of triggers but not so. Really interesting. Thank you!
A very worthwhile course to attend, I would recommend fellow colleagues to attend this course whatever their role is - it is worth attending to be able to understand and help each other
I wish you designed (or maybe you have?) a specific course for people who need to interact with international students or just people whose English is not their first language. I think the language barrier (and the cultural taboos) can have an impact on the way conversations around suicide/ mental health in general are conducted. (I teach English for Academic Purposes to international students in Birmingham).
