The course was an eye opener and very informative and gave me confidence in asking and recognising the signs of someone feeling like taking their own life. I would definitely recommend this course to everyone as the more people do it and feel comfortable in asking and understanding the stigma and the different signs the chances, we can reduce the risk of people taking their own life. One life is one life to many.

The structure and content of the course is clear and well laid out. There are alot of explanations and examples that are shared to help anyone who is new to learning about this sensitive topic. It's great also for those who already have some insights but want to extend their knowledge. The exploration of the subject is pitched at the exact right level to enable learners to feel more equipped when starting a discussion with someone who might be thinking about suicide. Steve's delivery is exemplary. There is always room for discussion and clarity of understanding by learners without feeling intimidated. Steve operates a very safe as well as insightful learning environment. I would not hesitate to recommend Steve, Mindcanyon and the SFA training.

I'm really glad I participated in this training. It's easy to perhaps know what you'd do in these circumstances but it was very educational and enlightening to learn all the ways to manage suicide prevention. I think there are definitely gaps in my knowledge that are now filled and things that now seem so obvious such as acknowledging that death is an option to someone without the immediate panic that you've made them more likely to commit suicide.
