SFA02-Suicide First Aid: Understanding Suicide Intervention Reviews
Vicky R, 14 Nov 2023
Such a tough topic but delivered in a very calm and measured way by Chris that gave everyone time to talk things through, ask questions etc. It felt like a very supported environment. A good balance between information, discussions and group work. Although some of the asks were quite challenging (practising asking people about thoughts of suicide and the role play at the end) Chris managed to create a feeling of a safe environment to do this in and it was good to have this time to practice things. Thank you.

Overall, i really enjoyed the course. Going in i thought i wouldn’t have considering the subject but i have gained a lot more knowledge and confidence in dealing with a topic which i come across very often in my line of work

Very good, simple course. I would definitely recommend to all staff. Whether clinicians or support services. Definitely skills and knowledge that benefits everyone.

Excellent course, and at the right level, possibly have a 'U' shape as far as seated positions for learners, it is difficult to write notes on your lap, and there was a lot of it!

I thought Chris presented very well and kept everyone engaged. I feel like I learned a lot and definitely feel more confident if I had to speak with someone experiencing suicidal thoughts.
