A short session that creates an awareness of suicide. I do think to cover such a wide topic in a short space of time is difficult so a great taster session.

I came away from this training with some specific strategies I can use to improve my practice which is fantastic.

The presenter was very knowledgeable and efficient at delivering the training but I found the webex training tool not very user friendly

This is a valueable and effective course if delivered in its entirety. Unfortunately the symptomology trained are the same reasons why MH services and professionals suggest that they cant treat or assess people in crisis or who are suicidal.

Overall really good and I learnt a lot of new information. Laura was excellent.

The training was well delivered. I had already done the ASSIST and ASK training, so it was a good refresher.

i think the the opportunity to do the whole 2 days maybe should have been offered as an option as it will be a part of the 2 days

Virtual training is always difficult and I felt for the trainers as its hard to get people to interact. Probably a better course when its face to face.

For me this was a useful refresher. I am ASIST trained and already had a level of understanding around the subject matter. However, if this had been my first experience of suicide first aid training I may have felt less less satisfied. I'm not sure how well suited it is to online delivery. I hope the face-to-face delivery option returns soon. It needed more space around and in the training - there's a lot to absorb. Simply ticking the box and moving on felt inappropriate at times.
