I really enjoyed the course as it has played a big part in my life and I now feel that I could deal with a situation in the future.
It was a very well developed and presented workshop. I learnt some important background facts that i was not previously aware of. Also the use of appropriate language. It built up well, how to have a more effective conversation with a person having thoughts of suicide. How it is OK to be direct, and how to build it into a conversation. Many would otherwise hesitate to say the word Suicide. Importantly we were more aware of how important it was to increase social contact for the person contemplating suicide, so they feel more support from people they feel confident about.
Enjoyed the course and being with liked minded people who want to make a difference in the community.
