I have completed this kind of training before sevearl times over the years. I have to say these training and techniques are the best i have seen, they are focused on all of the before hand techinques and de escalation rather than the actual physical side of the restraints. I like the fact that the holds is as less intrusive as it can be for the young people we work with and are less likely to cause any harm or injury. Kirstie is a brilliant trainer, very knowledgeable and friendly and knows alot about what she is talking about.
I thoroughly enjoyed the training. Kirsty was absolutely amazing and I would recommend her and the organisation to others. I’ve learned a lot and feel confident in using the techniques taught. Absolutely amazing.
This course was amazing. I really enjoyed the content and really loved the psychology behind the behaviour.
I found the breakaway techniques hard to remember (I think because there are so many) but really understood the final session on restraint techniques. The training is both theory and practical which helps to consolidate the knowledge that is being taught. The passion from the trainers is so clear and made me more passionate about my job.
I feel more confident understanding how to identify resident’s behaviour and how to defuse escalating situations.
Great training. Trainers kept everyone focused throughout. Invaluable information on improving PBS plans. Breakaway and PI training was easy to follow and simple to remember.
