RRN Level 3: Restrictive Physical Intervention reviews

4.9 (6,216 reviews)
AI summary of reviews

Practical, safety-focused learning is the course’s defining strength: attendees say it links clear theory on positive behaviour support, de-escalation, law, dignity and least-restrictive practice to step-by-step demonstrations, realistic scenarios and repeated practice. They value knowledgeable, patient and approachable trainers who use humour, lived experience and feedback to keep demanding subjects engaging, inclusive and easy to understand. The well-organised sessions build confidence that transfers directly to supporting children, patients and service users at work, although some find the theory lengthy.

I think the course was really positive and useful. Having worked at Gretton a while, I can see the effectiveness and implementation of the skills and think it benefits the students. I wish I had it earlier before I started.

Thank you. Both knowable and experienced in what they are talking about and brought in real situations.

Really great and informative course. Lots of opportunity to practice the techniques which was very helpful. Didn’t feel silly asking questions and it will definitely enable me to feel more confident when talking to the learners and managing more challenging situations.

Enjoyable lesson learning how to safely restrain young people who display concerning behaviour that cannot be verbally de-escalated. Ben was very informative and allowed us enough time to go over the movements in our own time to ensure we were confident and competent in the movements.

Ben was our trainer for the day. He took his time going through the theory and then on the practical. He was supportive throughout. He answered any questions we had about how to deal with situations. He was professional but also made the course enjoyable.

Excellent trainer, made me feel very relaxed, made things feel realistic giving me confidence in the holds I was undertaking. Encouraging feedback on an individual basis to help me improve. Ben was able to see when more support practice was needed and helped the individual to perfect the skill. Engaged the group really well
