RRN Level 3: Restrictive Physical Intervention reviews

4.9 (6,216 reviews)
AI summary of reviews

Practical, safety-focused learning is the course’s defining strength: attendees say it links clear theory on positive behaviour support, de-escalation, law, dignity and least-restrictive practice to step-by-step demonstrations, realistic scenarios and repeated practice. They value knowledgeable, patient and approachable trainers who use humour, lived experience and feedback to keep demanding subjects engaging, inclusive and easy to understand. The well-organised sessions build confidence that transfers directly to supporting children, patients and service users at work, although some find the theory lengthy.

It was quite relatable, explanatory and interactive. John was good at teaching the theories and practical. He showed some demonstrations and made it engaging. He also explained the concepts as thoroughly as he could.

Really competent trainer, showed and explained everything in detail. Any questions were answered through and he ensured that everyone understood everything. The moves were shown and repeated so that everyone completely understood and during practises he corrected in a friendly way informing of what could happen if not done correctly. The trainer themselves was very engaging and accommodating and made the course engaging and fun. Would recommend the trainer and course to others.

Overall had a great experience with my PBS training, I have learnt so much compared to the little about I knew before. I feel confident now with the information and breakaways I have learnt. Ron was an excellent trainer and would recommend him 100%

I’ve done this course three times now, I always find it really engaging, interesting, and mixed between physically and cognitively challenging- which I like. The trainer Liam, was very knowledgable, light-hearted where possible, and made the three days not seem long. Feel very confident with my skills

I found the course very interesting, it was very engaging & had me engaged the whole time, as I have ADHD that can sometimes be hard for me to concentrate but Liam kept the training, informative & engaging through out. Confident going into the home knowing these holds.
