The All Wales Manual Handling Course delivered by the Health and Safety Group is an excellent and highly valuable training programme that I would strongly recommend to Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, and Care Managers. One of the standout features of the course is the pre-course learning material, which participants are required to complete in advance. This ensures that everyone arrives with a solid theoretical foundation, allowing the face-to-face session to focus on practical application and deeper understanding. The day course itself is highly interactive and engaging, with a strong emphasis on hands-on learning. The trainers incorporate a wide range of practical demonstrations, enabling participants to confidently apply safe manual handling techniques in real-world care settings. This practical focus is particularly beneficial for those working in complex care environments where safe moving and handling is critical. Another key strength of the course is the opportunity for participants to share experiences and best practices. This collaborative approach brings the training to life, encourages reflective learning, and allows professionals from different backgrounds to learn from one another. Overall, the course is well-structured, informative, and directly relevant to everyday clinical practice. It not only enhances competency in manual handling but also promotes a culture of safety, reducing the risk of injury for both staff and service users. Highly recommended for all health and social care professionals committed to delivering safe, high-quality care.

Just satisfactory. Not happy with the equipments. Not much demonstration. Video was not working, so not blaming the trainer. But could have been more educational and demonstrated.

Friendly engaging trainer whose experience and stories of situations he had encountered really made the training interesting and helpful. Some of the slides for the online theory part of the course could be clearer. Thanks!

I didnt find the course useful, I thought that it would all be practical but the majority of it was theory. The course I went on for BLS started at 1.45 but we talked about manual handling and other sections first which I found very pointless as I had done a 9 hour manual handling course the day before. There was 22 of us in the room and we only went onto the subject of BLS at 3.30/4pm which trying to practice with 22 people was definitely not enough time. I am glad that I had done BLS in depth with a previous company as I honestly would of come out of this training really worried if I had never worked in care before
