The training could start about 10am, and not for so many hours. Also you could accommodate a venue with free parking to put cost down on delegates leave alone travel costs, and time.

The training went well and it was great. The trainer taught us how to used equipment and we also practice with the equipment available. The trainer was very friendly and nice.

While the trainer and the course itself were very thorough, covering all aspects of theoretical and practical moving and handling, i do believe the full day is more aimed at novice health care professionals. Having been a registered nurse for 42 years, I have attended countless days like today and I feel a few hours refresher would have sufficed. The practical aspect gave everyone the opportunity to be 'hands on'; however, the bed provided was a bariatric size, making it difficult to use standard equipment. The delegates were mismatched in size which meant bed height could not be adjusted to ensure both parties were safe and comfortable. My only other concern is that I felt the group was too large to enable the trainer to assess all delegates in practice.

Course was very lengthy for experienced nurses. A half day course if more than enough for people with years of experience, content was very repetitive considering there is lengthy e-learning also completed beforehand
