Completing my ILM Level 7 has strengthened my strategic leadership, decision-making and project management skills. It has helped me take a more structured, evidence-based and commercially focused approach to leading change, managing risk and developing others.

I really enjoy the course, and the tutor, Aruna Birch, has put a lot of effort into making it even better. The spreadsheet with all the details is so logical and has really helped.

Aruna has been very good and flexible. The course has been a lot more difficult then I anticipated especially since my role with the organisation changing. Working within the humantarian sector, our day to day activities are impacted with whats happening in the world which has a huge impact on attending sessions and making time for the course.

My overall experience has been excellent. Every 1:1 session has been well planned, started on time, and provided a supportive and encouraging learning environment. During my sessions, I have gained valuable insights into leadership, quality assurance, governance, and how to apply the knowledge and skills from my apprenticeship within my workplace. The discussions have helped me build confidence, improve my professional practice, and stay focused on achieving my learning objectives. My tutor consistently creates a welcoming atmosphere where I feel comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas, and discussing any challenges. They always take the time to review my progress, provide constructive feedback, and identify areas for further development. I particularly appreciate the regular check-ins on my wellbeing, which demonstrate genuine care and support throughout my apprenticeship. I feel fully supported by my tutor Aruna Birch, who responds promptly and professionally to any questions or concerns. Their knowledge, patience, encouragement, and commitment to my success have been outstanding and have made a significant positive impact on my learning journey. At present, I do not have any suggestions for improvement, as the sessions are well organised, engaging, and tailored to my development needs. I feel safe both in my workplace and throughout my apprenticeship, and I do not require any additional health, wellbeing, or safeguarding support at this time. Overall, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Deere Apprenticeships and my tutor Aruna Birch for their exceptional guidance, encouragement, professionalism, and ongoing support. Their dedication has been instrumental in helping me develop my knowledge, skills, and confidence, and I am truly grateful for the positive learning experience they continue to provide.

My experience of the apprenticeship has been very positive. My tutor has consistently provided clear guidance, constructive feedback and practical support that has helped me connect the course content to my day-to-day leadership responsibilities. The regular one-to-one discussions have been particularly useful in helping me identify how ordinary workplace activities can provide meaningful evidence of learning and progression. For example, following discussions about financial management and strategic resource allocation, I completed an assignment analysing the impact of AI-driven market disruption on iCareHub Consultancy. What began as an academic exercise developed into a genuine review of my business portfolio. The financial evidence challenged my initial plan to close the consultancy, as the analysis showed that the business had generated more profit despite lower revenue. This resulted in a revised strategic business plan, the decision to retain and reposition iCareHub, and a clearer portfolio strategy involving The Integral Care Hub and future AI-enabled services. The tutor’s guidance has also helped me improve the way I record and evidence my professional development. Examples include documenting the strategic recruitment of a Clinical Manager as an OJT activity, mapping the recruitment process to workforce planning and organisational change, and recognising how delegation of operational responsibilities has enabled me to focus more effectively on strategic growth, tendering and long-term planning. I have found my tutor approachable, responsive and encouraging, while also allowing me sufficient independence to take ownership of my learning. The support provided has strengthened my confidence, strategic thinking and ability to apply leadership theories and financial evidence to real organisational decisions.

Thoroughly enjoyed and felt effortless and sad its finished!! LOL Louise my tutor who i ended up considering a friend rather than a tutor!! Louise sadly had serious health complications during the course duration but still made an effort to make sure I was okay!! An amazing coach and a HUGE asset to Deere!! Catherine who supported me with the EPA process preparation was very approachable and really accommodating which made the EPA process far less daunting.

I see that he is very experienced in what he does, he seem to understand the circumstances around his student and somehow motivates them to do better than they could imagine- this is my experience with my tutor and I thank him for his patience and support.
