Practical breakaway techniques and clear demonstrations are the course’s most valued features, with attendees saying they have time to practise safely, ask questions and revisit methods until they understand them. They praise knowledgeable, approachable trainers who use real-life scenarios, humour and discussion to keep sessions engaging, while the focus on de-escalation, prevention and safety builds confidence for handling challenging situations at work. Some find the theory and slides longer or more repetitive than necessary.
