I thought the refresher course was really useful. It allowed me to evaluate the ways I've used the training in my role since completing the training 3 years ago. It was useful to refresh on the mental health continuum and the use of ALGEE when assessing a person experiencing mental distress.

A fantastic refresher course. I would highly recommend this to everyone.
The pre-course instructions were late coming. we were told they would arrive 2 weeks before. The time I had allocated to do this past and went before anything came through. When it did. It was not clear exactly what I should be clicking on as pre-course material. So I had not actually completed it all. It was hard to find and very frustrating. However. Bobbie Allen pulled it back for you. She was very good.

The course itself was good, however we didn't have much notice to complete the pre-course work and accessing the info on the learner hub was very confusing.
I think it is good to go on a refresher for MHFA. It reminds us of the course and gives us confidence in what we do. It also reminds us to take care of ourselves so we are better equipped to look after others
