This was an extremely disappointing day. The course was boring, and the whole day was too long. We did ridiculous ‘practical sessions’ such as getting out of a ‘grab’ from a patient, and the picking up a box and passing it around! The day was more geared towards HCA and should have been clearly labelled as not suitable for doctors. It was a waste of a day and in future I will aim to do an online course instead. The instructor was bored and was yawning at times. The clsss size was too big and the content dull. The course really did not need to be 7.5 hrs for the sake of it. I would not recommend it or be returning!
Would not help someone new to care especially with the practical side Too much role play,
I left home very early to get to the bus station from Northampton to Milton Keynes.My bus got spoilt along the road so I told my company to inform the tutor.upon arrival I was 30 minutes late but this tutor wouldn’t even hear me out.This is very bad and inhuman act .I have to pay another 80 pounds to for and I really do regret coming again.

The parking alone cost £29. There were minimal refreshments and no lunch provided. There were no other drs on the course and it seemed more set up for carers in general. I felt I learned more doing the courses online and much of the content was not geared towards drs for example I would never need to use a hoist ever and there was no instruction provided re basic life support just left to get on with it.
It was very interesting, It was beneficial for us,We learned new different things.
I enjoyed learning under Matthew. He is a good instructor who ensures that everyone is being carried along irrespective of your learning speed.
