CSTF (All in One Day) Mandatory Training Reviews

The trainer was awful kept stopping when people went to the to toilet Very rude we couldn't ask questions she kept telling us she didn't have enough time as there was a lot of people on the course. She shouted at a few people for not doing something right when they just need to be told how to do it properly no need for shouting really discouraging and Intimidating as we are all adults. Worst training ever to be honest

While there were good refreshments, the room was small for the number of candidates and even smaller when a group joined for the afternoon session. It was hot, stuffy, and quite uncomfortable. I felt we were crammed into a small space. In my opinion, the quality of the teaching wasn't as good as it was last year. I felt the tutor was trying his hardest, but for me, it just didn't work. On this year's experience, I shall look around for another provider for next year. The DeFib training apparatus wasn't working properly, and there was time wasted while the trainer had to make a phone call to access the BVM.

75% of this course has no relevance to moving and handling in a care home , community support or supported living There was no stand aid , toilet seats, profiling bed , wall nothing g relevant to a moving and handling skill set apart from about 30 minutes of hoist training . The trainer was great and delivered the content well

The trainer Karen was not happy when I said I was unable to kneel as had knee replacement...she very reluctantly got out the table but made me feel very small in front of others because of it.... Inclusion of disabled was non existent and found her to be very rude and obnoxious.....

The trainer was excellent but I feel the time isn’t worth it, also the venue is not encouraging as there was no access to microwave, hot water etc. Additionally, not all the training I booked for were touched. I was told it was a misconception on the site I booked it from

Trainer encouraged interactive, participation and questions asking to promote more learning

The trainer was very good and most importantly, he was very knowledgeable about ALL subjects and made things easy to understand.
