As someone who had never seen the ADOS or ADI-R prior, I feel this course has given me a great understanding of the assessments and has improved my assessing skills in relation to ASD. I'm looking forward to practicing them further, to ensure I am capturing all that I need for a full comprehensive assessment/report.

Thank you for a thought provoking course Carol and Garry. It was very helpful to see both the ADOS and ADIR completed with a number of individuals. The course was well structured, and a further thank you for taking the time to answer all of my questions.

Really good course. I will definitely be utilising the resource bank and additional videos to continue to practice my skills. The coding feedback is also really useful online so I can practice various modules of the ADOS at my own pace. Thank you!

A really helpful insight into administering the 2 diagnostic tests. It reassured me that professionals will all have different opinions and interpretations but the end goal - determining whether someone is showing evidence of an autistic condition - is usually agreed.

Great course overall, zoom being zoom made it hard at times to be as focussed as I would be in real life, but on the other hand obviously made it super flexible

This course has fulfilled all my expectations and more. I did my original ADOS training with Fiona Scott from the Cambridge Autism team, live training across Hertfordshire paediatricians, SALTs and me as consultant clinical psychologist as we ran joint assessment clinics and therapy/ follow-ups. I needed to update and refresh this training, along with the ADI. My experience with Fiona's training meant I was particularly drawn to the Cambridge teams expertise and superb delivery. The offer of an online Combo training course was a significant additional attraction with busy working schedules and Covid-19 vulnerabilities. It also meant that we had candidates across the country in a range of sectors/services which was brilliant. I would also like to say a huge thank you to them both for their kindness, compassion, and humanity as well as their amazing clinical and organizational expertise. I was especially grateful to them for discretely extending the video availability and for staying on to cover the toddler module at the end of a very long week of teaching. Thank you too Garry and Carol for your excellent organization. The whole experience made learning a pleasure. I will be glad to keep in touch.
