The two-day course was highly valuable, and I found the content practical, relevant, and immediately applicable to my role. There were several key takeaways that I will be able to implement on my return to work. One of the most impactful tools was the Start, Stop, Change framework, which provided a simple and memorable way to identify actions and behaviours to take forward from the course. I also found the ADKAR model for change management particularly useful, as it reinforced the importance of supporting individuals through change and understanding where they may be in the change journey. The session was also a great reminder of the importance of the Skills Will Matrix when assessing capability and tailoring support to team members. In addition, the discussions around communication styles were extremely valuable, reinforcing the need to consider the preferences and styles of colleagues when conducting conversations, providing feedback, and managing workplace interactions. I also enjoyed talking about power, and when different types of power are applicable to conversations with colleagues and also when managing upwards. Overall, the course was engaging, practical, and full of useful tools and frameworks that I can confidently apply in the workplace.
It is a great program, fast and to the point and very interactive to suit all learning styles.
