Very good at giving information that could be understood in a small group
Enjoyed taking time out to think about my approach as a Manager and tips for approaching challenging conversations.
I have picked up quite a few ideas and concepts to try when having conversations that matter. Good to share conversations with the team today.
It was challenging to think of outstanding conversations that needed to be had, I think the lack of content in some cases affected what we got out of the day as it felt a little over-laboured towards the end. Perhaps we could have notice and reflect on previous difficult conversations or scenarios
Ed was great at keeping us all together, making sure everyone had understanding and was supportive and inclusive if we had questions.
I am not a fan of virtual courses. With a single screen, it was difficult to flit between windows for the trainer, Project and the manual and I tended to get left behind from time to time. From experience with Happy, it all works much better when it's delivered in a training room. The timings were not very good: A 1300 start meant having no lunch break - or having to bolt an early lunch. Morning sessions would have been much better - or perhaps a later start but that would have meant running on to 1730.. on a Friday, when people's ability to focus would have fallen off sharply.
This training has helped me learn new ways of dealing with difficult clients as well as how best to help myself after I have had a difficult day.
Good, maybe could be split into four days - whole day is quite long for training
