This was a very useful course. I learned all that I had hoped to, and our instructor, Sal, was very friendly and knowledgeable. However, the pace of the sessions was - at times - frustrating on account of the differing skill levels within the group. Moreover, quite a lot of time was wasted with unnecessary discussion of non-relevant subjects. Between catching up from the previous session, talking through feedback issues, and logging our hopes for the session, we didn’t start the last portion of the training until 30 minutes into the session.

It worked very well online. We were carefully guided by Sal. I found it very useful as I realised how many gaps in my knowledge there were. I will be able to use shortcuts that will save a lot of time.

The course was very good and I thought Sal was excellent - patient, engaging and clear. The only problem was technical - it took simply ages to get everyone sorted out at the beginning and it would have been useful if we could all have been ready to start e.g. switched to the desktop app; with the excel demo documents loaded. I think some quite simple instructions with regular reminders sent over the two days before could have helped to speed up the start considerably. I also think it would have been useful for Sal to know which versions of excel we were using in advance - some people have a version that doesn't include certain functions the course covered. She handled it very well but it might have been helpful for her to know beforehand. - again, it wasted some time. I think it would also have been helpful if you had found out beforehand what each of us wanted from the course - as it was it was fine and we were all wanting roughly the same thing but we might not have done. If some advance research was done you would be able to advise on suitability of the course for particular individuals.

It was a bit too advanced for me as I do not use most of what it was shared but regardless of that, it was all very useful
