The course was very informative and improved my knowledge. Diane was very supportive throughout.
Overall, this course is very good and equips you with the general knowledge required to become a teaching assistant. The tutor and all staff involved were friendly and well prepared in terms of course content and materials needed. I would recommend this course to my peers if they were looking to get into the teaching assistant sector.
Learnt a lot about teaching children
Natalie was very friendly welcoming and understanding. i felt comfortable and happy learning with her . she was very calm and always went above and beyond to help when extra help was required. i felt like i learnt alot becouse she was young and cool i related with her more and she was realy easy to get along with .
The prep activities and workbook were so helpful, I really enjoyed working through them during the session and prior. I didn't find the slides before the session as helpful because we didn't really cover the ppt content in the workshop, and so trouble shooting questions related to content will take a bit longer. I think an additional hour to the session would have been helpful, and maybe with 1 or 2 extra comfort breaks. I found having two trainers in the session quite helpful as well. Some diversity in the case study examples would also be useful as I've found that a lot are about the same kinds of companies/industries and makes it difficult sometimes to apply those learnings to other contexts
