Brendan was brilliant. I was dreading the weekend thinking it will boring and that I'd be in a room full of people who would rather be anywhere else. In the end I was sad to leave. Brendon was a shining example of a the type of person that we should all aspire to be. He was funny, honest, humble, relatable and an all round good egg, and his personal experience made the course relevant and come to life. He was really great. It was also fun to hang out with such a mixed bunch of interesting people all with quite an exciting reason for being there. The venue was also lovely.

Trainer (Brendan) was very good. Since everyone was already familiar with content and re-qualifying he quickly covered the essentials making sure to see all of us all individually and successfully perform. Drew out individual candidates' personal experiences (e.g. being on receiving end of being injected with an epi pen/dealing with hypothermia etc) and led discussions on these to the benefit of the whole group. Was happy to go into deeper depth on topics of interest e.g. using climber's ropes to make a stretcher instead of a tarp or bivvy bag and altitude sickness. Only criticism is that whilst the teaching was done outdoors the available ground was very benign i.e. gently sloping lawn or flat ground with a few minor tree roots - so no opportunity to practice stabilising a casualty on steep or very uneven ground.

Very good course. A section on dressings would have been useful as this has been a useful part of previous courses that I have attended, and is usually a helpful reminder when one hasn't used certain dressings over the three years.
