It was a very informed and powerful training session which will help me feel better prepared in the event I have a conversation/situation where somewhere is suicidal.

Its a great course, but very draining sitting in front of a computer all day.

A great mixed group and felt quite safe to air views and discuss a difficult topic.

Really happy. I've learnt a great deal and feel more confident moving forward should I be presented with someone that has thoughts of suicide.

A very valuable course, explains the importance of understanding mental health and suicide and what resources are available and what we can do if we are in a situation that involves suicide. Explained really well and starts an important conversation.

This couse is very interesting, but there is a lot of material to absorb, it feels like there are a lot of bases to cover for a short first aid intervention with a person who might either be known or unknown. As an additional layer of complexsity, I need to think how this fits in with my practice as a counsellor, because my relationship with clients goes beyond first aid typically, I often then have follow up sessions with them. It was helpful to understand the make up of the safety plan as I have used this in work before, but a much shorter version, and it was helpful to understand the reasoning, logic and thinking behind it and how to use it effectively.
