Maybe stretch the course over more hours just to go over information again for some clarification or just better understanding & a Q and A session.

overall very very good but maybe needs a bit faster pace

I liked everything about it. The mark for usefulness has nothing to do with the course, because I am ASIST trained and was looking for a top-up of skills. The course more than delivered this

Very good training, it was much more engaging than just watching a PowerPoint and only having the trainer talking. I liked hearing from other participants.

i feel less unsure about how to deal with someone who rings up and appears suicidal. One of the other participants circulated the hubofhope website which is useful and i guess any resources of this sort are ideal for us at Citizens Advice

I feel the pacing could be improved a little - we seemed to be speeding through the last, probably most important session, on noticing signs and how to engage with people considering suicide

I found the training really useful and full of insights that I haven't picked up in through my exposure to mental health and/or suicide prevention work yet. The only missing piece was that the video that was used was not reflective of Indian contexts, even though it was perfectly suitable for explaining the concepts. The trainer filled the gap a lot by sharing cases and incidents from her own work, however, a more gender diverse and culturally relevant video would have been more useful.

A good basic undertaking into what suicide is and how to recognise the signs.
