This is very simple and informative. I often tend to assume people know what they are supposed to do and lack of compliance is due to lack of respect for authority and not necessarily lack of knowledge about what one needs to do. This short clip has given a different perspective. I will practice this henceforth and see how it goesResponse : Hello Monica - thank you for your comments on the video 'What to Say When You Want Someone to Do Something'. Really lovely of you to say what you have and I'm glad the video has given you a new perspective. Sometimes the most obvious or simple of things aren't at all obvious or simple! Do keep coming back for more of the videos, podcasts and activities. There are lots more practical ideas to put into practice right away and to help you be more successful in your job. Thanks again. As a new starter in a new role in an industry I am not very familiar with, this course will help me get the necessary support from my colleagues. By being able to ask the right questions, I will elicit more enthusiastic and useful answers from my colleagues who have more information (and experience) about the role I have taken up.Response : Hello Samson - thank you for your feedback on the 'Being Curious' podcast. You're so right about asking questions to get the information you need and I'm glad you found the podcast useful. Do also check out our short video on 'What to say when you're new on the job' which is also very relevant to you in your new role. This video illustrates different types of questions to ask to ensure you make a get off to a great start. Come back and use the resources frequently.
