CIPD Associate Diploma in People Management or Organisational Learning and Development (Level 5) reviews

4.7 (443 reviews)
AI summary of reviews

Practical, engaging delivery is the course’s defining strength: attendees value trainers’ subject knowledge, approachable style and ability to make complex HR topics clear through real-life examples, case studies and thoughtful discussion. Breakout activities, group tasks and workbooks help them test ideas, understand assessment questions and apply learning at work, while a clear structure and good pace build confidence. A few attendees find guidance or materials occasionally inconsistent, so clearer alignment would help.

Really good session, trainer was great. Nice informal environment. Some people were not vocal/on cameras on the breakout sessions which was a shame (I know you can't control this!). Very small but important point, there was a nice balance of breaks. In the last workshop we had with another trainer, there was only one 15 minute break which was not enough on a 4 hour session.

This is my first workshop as I am just starting my apprenticeship. I found it useful as an introduction to the assignment. It included lots of useful pointers. The workshop was done at a good pace. I really liked Anthony's style of presentation. It was an engaging and enjoyable session. The breakout room and group tasks were all useful.

Great guidance on assessment potentially could do with more info about evidence based practice it’s self.

This is very different to the Level 3 so it wasn't what i was expecting? I still feel in the dark about what we are supposed to be doing, the assignment wasn't spoken about step by step and it wasn't explained how it was all going to work for the assignments. in the level 3 each call was with our tutor and then we went through the assignment and what was expected from us. This webinar felt like i had missed a previous webinar as it felt like it should be an extra call? I dont think its the Trainers fault but how its different to the level 3 doesn't work and it feels disorganised. Also being in with a different cohort isnt helpful as its too busy and all at different parts of the course.

It is confusing that a cohort and apprenticeship has been mixed, it feels like we are different stages. I don't feel the assignment has been explained at all
