AI summary of reviews

Attendees particularly value the practical use of the ALGEE framework, scenarios and discussions, which make difficult mental-health topics approachable and give them confidence to recognise distress and start sensitive conversations with young people. They describe knowledgeable, empathetic trainers who create a relaxed, non-judgemental space, alongside a well-structured blend of self-study, webinars and breakout activities. The handbook and resources support application at work, though some prefer face-to-face delivery.

A bit slow to get going - but then was fab. Thank you to the instructors who were very knowledgeable. Good to use breakout rooms and to be able to feedback on the scenarios.

J found the course gave a good view on mental health in general which was good, however I feel it was fairly mainstream as I would say there are lots of varying degrees of mental health and this could be quite different from the next.

Very interesting and useful training. It has given me a much better insight into the correct approach to use with learners who may be exhibiting signs of mental health conditions.

This has been a very useful, informative course. It opened my eyes to problems, solutions, observations, in fact all aspects tackling mental health issues within my college setting (and beyond). I very much enjoyed the course. Thank you

Love the interactive break out tasks. The videos were engaging and a great visual tool to experience true perceptions of scenarios. I think more of this would be great! Nice to meet the team properly!

I have had problems with the links and opening the work book etc. It was probably my lack of IT skills but I have been frustrated by not being able to open documents. I think that I needed more simple instructions

This course was really interesting and has definitely improved my knowledge of how to assist a young person who is having a mental health crisis. I feel confident in offering assistance. Stephanie was amazing and very helpful and understanding of any questions or queries we all had. Would recommend this course to anyone
