AI summary of reviews

Attendees particularly value the practical use of the ALGEE framework, scenarios and discussions, which make difficult mental-health topics approachable and give them confidence to recognise distress and start sensitive conversations with young people. They describe knowledgeable, empathetic trainers who create a relaxed, non-judgemental space, alongside a well-structured blend of self-study, webinars and breakout activities. The handbook and resources support application at work, though some prefer face-to-face delivery.

instructors were wonderful and supportive. Good understanding of the topic. the overall materials and guidance aren't anything new to practice- however they highlight and also help practitioners have the confidence to fill that void that is there in relation to mental health.

I really enjoyed the course and I learned a lot, plus have lots of resources now to read up on afterwards. The videos and examples really helped to remember some of the points. I'd definately recommend this to any scouter or parent infact..

As discussed with Steve, would like my college to buy a copy of the handbook as I find it difficult to read online. Steve was an excellent instructor and was so knowledgeable. He has experience in so many of the areas discussed, both personally and professionally. He understood that in certain scenarios, our hands are tied working in education. I found the resource list excellent and will push for my college to invest in the reading materials.

Thank you both for your time and knowledge. The training has strengthened my confidence to discuss and deal with Mental Health first Aid with the young people that I work alongside.

The online content is poorly designed, laborious and often repetitive. In contrast, the videos contained in some of the modules were informative and highly illustrative. The webinars were interesting, well-paced and very useful as they brought in multiple perspectives.

My only negative is that the course is delivered online over TEAMS, I feel it would be much more interactive 'face to face' but that is just a personal preference. Diolch yn fawr
