AI summary of reviews

Attendees particularly value the practical use of the ALGEE framework, scenarios and discussions, which make difficult mental-health topics approachable and give them confidence to recognise distress and start sensitive conversations with young people. They describe knowledgeable, empathetic trainers who create a relaxed, non-judgemental space, alongside a well-structured blend of self-study, webinars and breakout activities. The handbook and resources support application at work, though some prefer face-to-face delivery.

I am really glad I took on the challenge to join this course. Both Sam and Wendy did so well in analysing different real life examples. The discussions amongst team members was also very helpful. Thanks again.

LOVED the course immensely! Learnt a lot about conditions and symptom's I hadn't given much thought to-I would have liked to have had some more insight around Anxiety and panic attacks and how to calm, reassure and protect during an attack as well as after-care. I feel that maybe we could have covered some children's mental health from age5-16 as I feel there are more signals to children needing mental heath support. It's a valuable course

Fantastic! I feel much better equipped to listen more carefully and have more direct, sensitive conversations. The discussions were useful and the instructors had very perceptive insights. The only aspect I struggled with were the ALGEE responses to the scenarios; that for me seemed like too much of a formulaic way to think through the scenarios and not very intuitive. This is probably helpful for some other people though. Thank you!

I really enjoyed the course and felt I gained a lot of insight and knowledge. I was unsure about the attending this course whether it was right for me. So glad I did. You just never know when this might be useful. I feel I will be a lot more confident in my approach, if some one confides in me or I spot someone not being their usual self. Both Hannah and Mike were very professional and experienced. They were well prepared and presented the information in an easy style. They worked extremely well together. A lot of trust between them and the result was a very good atmosphere where knowledge was gained seemingly effortlessly. Thank you Marea Williams

An excellent course that helped with my confidence in the subject. Also the opportunity to meet face to face with other practitioners and hear their different perspectives was invaluable.
