CeMAP® - Certificate in Mortgage Advice & Practice Reviews

My aim at the start of the Cemap 1,2 & 3 training was not just to achieve the Cemap qualification but to gain a better knowledge and understanding of the mortgage and finance market, and I achieved both. The qualification on its own would not have been enough. Pete's enthusiasm, industry knowledge and delivery of the training, combined with commitment and hard work, made the whole experience rewarding and enjoyable. Thanks and would recommend to others.

Venue was really poor, the room was small and the reception staff were miserable. we had trouble getting into the venue each day and a couple of people were left downstairs for a long period of time. had to ask daily to obtain coffee for breaks overall a poor experienceResponse : Dear Lynsey Thank you for your valued feedback Rest assured your comments have been noted and we have contacted the venue to ensure the issues you encountered are not repeated. We are happy to see that the venue issues did not affect your overall training experience, may I take the opportunity to wish you the very best with your exams.

I think that some sort of role play or simulation to show how a mortgage advisor actually conducts an interview with a client would be useful. Also some more advice on job search. A meeting with a current mortgage advisor would also be very useful.

Being Very Nervous around the whole subject, Peter managed to create a sense of comfort within the classroom with all the members. His subject knowledge enabled him to simplify most terms for everyone to understand. I have now taken my exam and have passed! I owe it all to Peter and would highly recommend his courses.

I thoroughly enjoyed the course and would definitely recommend it to my colleagues, as a means of studying CeMAP. I thought that the course material would be boring, but Pete's anecdotes and life story kept it real!! And I passed with a distinction in both parts which was fantastic too! Looking forward to studying part 2 very soon.

I thought a substantial amount was repeated from level one and I did not feel the need to spend so much time repeating the same thing. It would have been far more useful to spend time on the new stuff. It's expensive to take the course and I felt at least two of the days I didn't need. Paul is an excellent trainer. I think it's simply academy that need to review the content. I also don't think you should be able to take 2 & 3 before 1 because it slows progress for those like myself that had already done cemap 1

My only comment would be that I did not receive notification of a venue change but I did do the course through my employer so it could well be that they did not forward over any amendment notifications. The new training facility was only a 5 minute walk away so wasn't too much of an issue.

The course was enjoyable, but rather too expensive - lunch should be provided for that price. I found the Simply web site confusing eg the exams are not named the same as LIBF. The exam booking procedure could be better explained. Some practical help with job applications would be appreciated, rather than just access to another web site

Pete was an excellent tutor and kept the whole class fully engaged. Having previous completed cemap 1 with another tutor Pete was top class.
