Dave was fantastic and really did help me pass cemap 1 as he focussed on what really mattered in terms of knowledge needed.
Excellent Trainer- the best trainer I have ever had. Only critism was that there was not enough time spent on unit 2 for some reason. We started unit two pm thursday and ended at 11am on the friday ? I only just passed unit 2 with a 70% pass but got 88% on unit 1.
The teacher was really good and made it really interesting, i would recommend the online live classrooms.
David was a great host, as he kept the learning fun and insightful. He had a big task of teaching 20 individuals that were not in the same room as him, so he did a great job with getting everyone involved. His real-life examples and stories were particularly useful and helped me a lot in the real exam. The structure of the course was great, as we had frequent short breaks and a nice long lunch break. There was no stress at any point and was a nice, relaxing experience whilst simultaneously intense. David made sure we had a customizable experience, meaning we wouldn't waste time on a topic we were all very confident with. The only downside of the course was the end of topic questions, where everyone would answer 3-5 topic-related questions in the chat function. As everyone's answers were sent publicly, the questions were not as challenging as the activity turned into a 'repeating the first answer sent'. It is a minor fault but perhaps a slightly more competitive tone could be adopted for this section, as I found myself sometimes turning the chat off and answering independently. Some end of topic questions were briefly skipped over, even when we had all put the incorrect answer - however I appreciate this may be due to time constraints. I feel like a great solution to this would be sending answers to David exclusively, to provide true answers from the students. Despite David's brilliant teaching method's, I wasn't a massive fan of the '0 right, 1 right, 2 right, 3 right or all right' approach. I found myself overthinking constantly about if it was a trick question or I was over analysing the question. Again, I feel this confused the chat more causing a chain reaction of answers. This had an adverse effect in my exam, as I felt I was tricking myself into thinking all answers were right. I appreciate David's 'master tip' of not changing your answers after answering them, and I believe this is what helped me ultimately pass my exam. I passed the exam with 2 Merit Passes and couldn't be happier!! Thank you David :)
Relevant course materials well presented by a highly experienced and capable trainer. David Beever is a superb lecturer, really knows his product, and entertaining too - which aids in facilitating long term retention of the facts. One small niggle only with Simply Academy's email support offering - relatively slow response time in relation to enquiries. Apart from that, can't fault them. Would definitely recommend!
I thought David did an excellent job. His experience and knowledge that he was able to put across and help with understanding the course really helped. Would highly recommend a course that David is presenting. I'm hoping that when I come to study CeMap 2 & 3 that I can book with David for that too
Pete is a fantastic teacher, i tried to do the exam before but Pete found he put words into English and made the understanding alot easier to learn got my exam Friday so fingers crossed i pass but i have cemap 2 - 3 next week looking forward the class
David was really knowledgeable and went through the coursework thoroughly. It’s a vast course with ample to retain. But the mapping was done really well. Really happy to be part of the session. Good luck Simply Academy team.
A fantastic course to attend and I will highly recommend to contact Simple Academy if you wish to study CeMap. Peter is very thorough in his teaching and also very welcoming too. I will be booking my CeMap 2 and 3 very soon.
