AI summary of reviews

A safe, compassionate approach makes this difficult subject accessible: attendees value knowledgeable, empathetic trainers who create space for honest discussion without pressure. They describe clear, well-paced sessions combining practical frameworks, language, scenarios, role play, videos and breakout activities, supported by useful workbooks and signposting resources. The course helps them recognise warning signs, ask direct questions and feel more confident supporting people in crisis at work and beyond.

Response: Hi Shelley Thank you so much for taking the time to respond I really value your feedback..... Your comments have made me very happy ~ you were a brilliant candidate.

I felt the course was too long for the content. It would have benefitted from more interaction from delegates rather than just input from the trainer

Response: Hi Carey thank you for taking the time out of a busy working week to feedback. A full day course can seem quite long thats why I gave you all extended breaks and an hour for lunch ~ I hoped this would break up the allocated contact hours for SFA. The virtual classroom has its limitations and can impact on free flowing discussion ... to try to counterbalance I try to maximise the chat rooms ~ candidate chat facility ~ feedback from each exercise and pick up when candidates had a Q ... I'm sorry that the course fell below your expectations and I have absorbed your feedback. Keep up your excellent work in the community Kind Regards Christine

It was a brilliant training and it did not matter that it was online - it was as if we were in the same room

Course has given me the tools to apply suicide first aid within my workplace and outside. I am able to share my insights and knowledge with others. I also have the courage to explore suicide with others.

It was a well delivered course. The question I asked in private was well responded to and well answered my query. It was an honest discussion and has left me feeling more prepared.

It was a really good course, and I am so glad that I have now completed it. It has definitely added to my own knowledge of how to talk to someone experiencing suicidal thoughts, and it's really helpful to now know the 3 steps to how to effectively help someone. I am certain this will be of benefit in future jobs and general life.

The booklet being virtual did make things difficult, especially as it could not be printed or written on. Having it as a word document would have been helpful or having a completed booklet sent out after the session would be good.
