It was a really interesting and eye opening training session. Really well conducted by Chris, it was well paced and the activities kept us all engaged
I was a little apprehensive about the thought of Suicide First Aid on a Monday plus it being a virtual training session - I was unsure what to expect. However, Chris kept it informative, not too heavy and interesting. A good amount of interactivity, opportunities to practice some skills and "theory". He also made sure there was a short break every 1.5 hours - I found this good, not just due to the nature of the training but also the temptation when working virtually can be to be glued to your desk all day.
I really valued this time and to take the opportunity to discuss this really important issue, this will have an impact on me going forward and I really enjoyed the way it was led.
Very helpful in making me feel more confident to have a conversation about suicide
A very interesting and thought provoking session that really highlighted ways to work avoid the accidental stigma of suicide and be able to have those difficult conversations.
Very helpful course good combination of subject knowledge and practical application
I enjoyed ti and thought it was interesting
A really useful and practical training course.
The course reinforced existing knowledge and broke-down to easy methods of managing suicide.
