Layla J, 25 Nov 2020
This course exceeded my expectations and I would definitely recommend it to others. As I said previously it is obvious that this course and its delivery comes from a genuine place of wanting to help others facing suicidal thoughts. It is well paced covering good first aid tactics for the students to take forward and feel confident with.

I am so glad to have done the full-day training. It is a lot more in-depth when it comes to what approaches I can use to dismantle a suicide situation. It has made me realise that offering help is not enough, we have to follow up and advocate for the person suffering. We have to ensure that they are getting all the necessary support.

I was particularly pleased with how engaging the tutor was. Not once did I feel tired or bored. It was a true pleasure, especially considering the course subject/topic of conversation.

This training has given me the confidence to ask someone directly if they are contemplating suicide. It has taught me the significance of acting quickly to support individuals with tools to encourage accessible solutions.

I feel more confident in supporting people dealing with suicidal thoughts, and to support people feeling that way themselves.
