Good course, well focused and I feel very prepared for these conversations now. Was able to put some of the things I've learned into practice in other contexts immediately/

Very helpful training to support young people i work with to prevent suicide. I will use the intervention with the young people i work with.

Felt it gave me some good skills and knowledge to use if needed and was nice the group came from different companies and had variety of experience. Think as some people in the group hadn't experienced some of the topics covered, it would of more beneficial for them to know the basics before. Trainer was personable and friendly and gave good examples and ideas. She managed the group well too.

I was a bit apprehensive about attending the course as I didn't know what to expect and suicide seems to be something I would previously have found difficult to talk about. But Alison dispelled a lot of myths and detailed the role of suicide first aiders so I now feel a lot more confident about approaching anyone who may be thinking about suicide.
