I would recommend this course to colleagues, I did a course run by Cambridge council and it was not beneficial as it really only defined mental health and signposting.

This course is an essential extension to Mental Health First Aid and I will use this when needed in my interactions with students. it has equipped me with the confidence to ask more direct questions as appropriate. This is an essential course for anyone, especially those working in wellbeing/supporting roles. I will be looking to enrol on the Level 4 accredited unit.

This course has been extremely useful to me in my day to day life as well as in my working role. I feel I can use the skills that our tutor has taught us in a positive and safe way and by having the understanding of this sensitive topic, I feel more confident discussing Suicide and being able to help support someone, if that situation happened. Our tutor had a very calm, professional, non judgemental way of communicating with all attending the course, which made the sessions run very well.

It was a very good course for the level it is pitched at. More than enough initial info to help people understand what can be done and how to do it from the SFA viewpoint. I would recommend this course to others.

Really good training and relevant to my role. The refresher day provided me with more confidence to support my clients.
