Good training, naturally the breakout rooms are sometimes too short or too long, and occasionally stop a really good conversation but that's the nature of virtual sessions.
Great course, really helped reaffirm my understanding of Boards and the attributes of a good board member. Will now progress lining up a pathway to find and take advantage of opportunities at the right juncture.
The slides we use and you present at times are in a different order. I use a mobile for zoom so mot always easy to see the slides you present.
It's a difficult one to measure. Interesting topic but not one I believe my current position in abrdn would lend itself to requiring. There were interesting points raised and I enjoyed the speakers discussion.
Overall the course was really good, but some of the impact was lost through the course being on zoom and not being able to take part in person. Whilst Anne and Paul were excellent facilitators, the course handbook could have benefitted from being adapted better to online sessions to use as a point of reference. There was a lot of really relevant content and I will be using this on a regular basis in the future.
This course really does give you time to actually ‘take time’ to reflect on yourself and to help you structure your thoughts about your personal progression and ambitions.
A thought provoking course that has certainly provided me with a number of useful tips to help with my career progression. It stimulates a lot of self reflection and helps you to understand the areas in which you need to improve / focus on to reach the next level/s.
