RRN Level 3: Restrictive Physical Intervention reviews

4.9 (6,163 reviews)
AI summary of reviews

Practical, safety-focused learning is the course’s defining strength: attendees say it links clear theory on positive behaviour support, de-escalation, law, dignity and least-restrictive practice to step-by-step demonstrations, realistic scenarios and repeated practice. They value knowledgeable, patient and approachable trainers who use humour, lived experience and feedback to keep demanding subjects engaging, inclusive and easy to understand. The well-organised sessions build confidence that transfers directly to supporting children, patients and service users at work, although some find the theory lengthy.

Very informative. Ben the trainer was patient and willing to answer any questions. I found the training very interesting.

I really enjoyed this day of the course and learned alot of interesting concepts and practices that can - and will - be applied to my career as a support worker. I also really enjoyed learning under Ben!

Response: Hi Wyman. Thank you for the lovely feedback and it's great to know that you are taking a lot away from the course which will be so beneficial to the people you support. We'll be sure to let Ben know,

Really good interactive training, made us all feel comfortable and confident to share our experiences and opinions. The physical skills are really simple to learn and effective. Really enjoyed the past 3 days, Thank you!

I really enjoyed this training session with Ben. I have previously trained in PBS via another company and I can definitely see a massive improvement in the way Ben has trained me compared to my previous company. I can see the massive importance Sherwood has in being safe and also I can tell they are a very caring company! Would deffo recommend to anyone else that needed training. Very kind trainer also. Made it fun and a good time!

Ben was brilliant. He was knowledgeable, kind, considerate and informative. He had examples to back up what he was saying, which helped the information mean something. He took his time to explain and show breakaways and restraints. He was repetitive, but not patronising. He was happy and friendly and made the training fun too. Lee joined on the last day and he was also very knowledgeable, kind and considerate. Both really good trainers.

I found this course really informative, having done similar courses in the past, this has been the best one I have done by far. You don’t need strength for this course, you need passion to protect the people we support. The trainer was fun and really engaging, which made the learning easy! Thank you Ben and Lee.
