AI summary of reviews

Hands-on practice is the course’s most valued feature: attendees say demonstrations, repeated opportunities to practise on mannequins and supportive correction make venepuncture and cannulation easier to understand. They consistently describe trainers as knowledgeable, patient, approachable and engaging, with humour and clear explanations that suit different experience levels. The well-balanced theory and practical sessions build confidence and leave learners feeling ready to apply their skills in clinical practice.

The course and teacher was brilliant and the entire training was brilliant but Health and Safety group needs to provide training assistants for the trainers because they do alot and need to be more focused while the assistant will help in setting up the equipments and also poor reception or hospitality in terms coffee, tea and snacks.

The course and the trainer were excellent, and the overall training was highly valuable. However, it is recommended that the Health and Safety group consider providing training assistants to support the trainers. Trainers have numerous responsibilities and would benefit from having assistance with tasks such as setting up equipment, allowing them to remain focused on delivering the content. Additionally, the hospitality during the session could be improved, as there was a noticeable lack of refreshments such as coffee, tea, and snacks. It was also disappointing that the course trainer arrived an hour late. While this was not the fault of Dr. Ranjit, the session, originally scheduled to begin at 09:00-9:30 a.m., did not start until 10:00 a.m. It would have been appreciated if participants had been informed in advance—ideally the evening before—about the delay. This is particularly important for those of us who had to travel long distances and begin our journeys very early in the morning. In my case, I had to wake at 5:00 a.m. to drive to Birmingham. Apart from that, I thoroughly enjoyed the course and learned a great deal. Thank you Dr Ranjith Welgama

Trainer had to cover training day at short notice meaning he was an hour later, we were only notified at 9am when the training was due to start, that it had now been changed to 10. Trainer can sometimes speak too quickly and talk over candidates whilst they’re answering questions.
