Working with Frank Van Buren was both a privilege and a pleasure. At the start, I wasn’t entirely sure what my options were. Coming from a non-target school and having missed the typical investment banking recruitment cycle, I felt uncertain and frustrated. Currently, I am working as a finance intern in the treasury department at Lexmark while finishing my final semester of college. Both experiences will strengthen my candidacy for off-cycle investment banking recruitment, as well as the upcoming fall recruitment cycle.

Mr. Van Buren was an extremely engaging speaker who really seemed to be speaking from experience instead of from a bunch of slides. Everything sounded like life lessons from one man to the next and many of the lessons have already become an influential part of my day. I can still recall many of the stories (which are much more effective than just giving advice), so I consider the lesson well worth the time.
