One million learner reviews have now been collected through Coursecheck, marking a major milestone for the training evaluation platform and creating a unique source of insight into the learner experience.
Since Coursecheck launched, training providers have used the platform to collect structured feedback from learners, understand what's working and identify opportunities to improve. This month, the one millionth verified review was submitted.
But for us, the milestone is about much more than a number.
Every Coursecheck review comes directly from a learner and is linked to the specific course they attended, creating an independent, verified record of their experience.
Together, those individual responses give training providers a clearer picture of how their courses are performing, while helping prospective buyers make more informed decisions based on genuine learner feedback.
They've also created a rich source of data on how the learner experience has evolved.
What can one million reviews tell us about training?
To mark the milestone, we've been analysing our review data to understand what it can tell us about professional training today and how the learner experience has changed over time.
The findings reveal some interesting trends.
Across the responses analysed, the average course rating was 4.74 out of 5. Average course ratings have risen steadily over time, from 4.64 in 2019 to 4.79 in 2026. The proportion of learners awarding five stars has increased too, from 70% in 2019 to 82% in 2026.
The data also reveals how the training experience has evolved. Virtual training has seen particularly strong improvements since 2019, closing much of the gap with face-to-face training. And while face-to-face courses continue to receive slightly higher overall ratings, the difference disappears when learners are asked specifically about their instructors.

The report will look at how course ratings have changed, the evolution of virtual training, differences between delivery methods and what we've learned about effective training evaluation.
