This is the first time I have had training using ASD diagnostic tools. The training has been invaluable in terms of changing post to a clinical one after working as a NHS manager for years. I now feel more confident clinically and I have this course to thank as well as Carol, Garry and the other participants who were able to bring so many different perspectives. I think the course was rich and intensive and cannot think of anything that could improve it. The access to course materials for 6 months will enable training to become embedded whilst using ADOS 2 and ADI-R.
This has been one of the best training courses I have been on. The correspondence prior to starting from Gary and the use of the Moodle platform was excellent. I loved the way that you were provided with the skills and knowledge to complete the tasks by both Carol and Gary and then given the opportunity to work at your own pace and in your own environment with the flexibility of timing . Carol's approach is excellent and I felt she spoke to us and not at us all week. This gave me the confidence to speak up throughout. Although this was a weeks course, I enjoyed every aspect of the course and it felt like it went really fast and at no point did it drag. I would 100% recommend this training.
Carol and Gary were both great and supportive throughout the training. The course was excellent and of an extremely high quality. I found the group reflections and independent learning to be supportive. This was really beneficial as it gave us an opportunity to practice coding throughout the week and then ask any questions we had. The moodle site was also great and filled with great resources/feedback from coding. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone looking for training in ADOS and ADI.

I think the course was well organised and had a good balance of group and individual tasks. The use of moodle and zoom was great and despite this being a virtual course it felt very interactive. I found Carol engaging and her sharing her knowledge and expertise invaluable. I also felt that she was very down to earth and made people feel at ease if they didn't have as much knowledge and expertise . She very much reinforced to everyone that it was a learning experience which I think helped reduced people's anxieties about getting things not quite right ! I did have to rush the last scoring a little but timing of exercises was well balanced. It was also helpful to have Gary to explain the location of resources and walk us through this each session. The video's that we watched were interesting and made the course even more enjoyable.
A fantastic course. I feel very well-equipped to go about conducting ADOS and ADIR within my service.

Really enjoyed it. Considering that it was five day training it went really quickly which is a good sign. Thank you so much it was really informative, well paced, reflective, and nurturing.
