I did mention to Rachel that I have had a similar course, so some things were a recap for me, but overall it was a good training and I liked that we all got involved. Only one thing to mention is I had the whole course the same partner when we were practising in couples, not sure it was selecting randomly and I end up having the same partner for practising but just to mention that. I mean it was not a bad thing my partner was lovely, :)
It just went a bit fast...but then I'm a bit slow when it comes to IT
It was supposed to be a full Xlookup session and we end up spending most of the session on Vlookup and Hlookup. I got that someone in the session was not familiar with these formulas (they probably should have booked to the other training then) and it was good to have a refresher. However, we then had only 30 minutes on Xlookup and not so much time to practice it then. For future sessions it would be good to have a quick refresher for 30min and then the rest to focus on Xlookup.
Some great exercises that provoked thought about my working practices. Stephen was a great trainer, very knowledgeable and some great stories!
The whole course has been excellent. The content is at a high level, well-researched and pitched at our starting points as managers. The segue from one activity to another is well-managed and ensures that our interest is maintained and that we can retain the knowledge about leadership through engaging activities. The presenter has a deep knowledge and understanding about leadership and what approaches are the most effective in bringing out the best in people. I like the fact that the focus is on a happy, productive team and is not based on financial profit. I began the programme feeling at a low ebb but the sessions have helped me to believe in myself and others, and have also helped me to feel highly motivated in my role. I definitely feel more "happy" as a result of doing this programme. The materials used, including videos, powerpoints, handouts and pre-course information are all of a high quality. I also like the fact that it is a full day each time, with the same one presenter and that there are four sessions, all local to the College.
Paul was an excellent facilitator with an ability to create fantastic and insightful conversations.
