The course is good both for those with an accounting/finance background as it goes into the fundamentals while being technically advanced enough for analyst level professionals
The instructor broke down all the concepts in a manner that was digestible to everyone, including those of us who didn't have a finance background. The course is also structured in a way that allows us to learn or refresh concepts in a way that relates to our functions at Absa. This is very helpful because then we can make use of what we have learnt when we get back to work. Thank you so much.
The training was interesting, coming from a non- accounting background, I really learnt a lot and excited about learning more after the programme.
Thank you so much Amit and Andrei. The content was a good recap of finance in general and key factors were carefully chosen to give understanding of how everything links together. The quizzes and interactive session also cemented the concepts well. I truly appreciate the patience for going through the material thoroughly. As a suggestion, content more tailored to the south african context/market would be more comprehensive. Otherwise great week of learning and well executed from a timing and coverage point of view. Some of the content was very technical so i think more local examples would make these concepts, products and content more relatable...Trainer was great and very approachable.
Amit was very helpful throughout the course, making himself available before and after sessions for questions. Sometimes the pacing of calculations I found too quick however I appreciate that I have come from limited accounting experience and my peers may have found it the right speed.
Overall course was good. Some materials were light on detail, but there was enough complexity and information where required. Instructor was excellent given the time constraints.
A lot of topics were covered and it could have stretched over 2 weeks. Good use was made of the excel calculations - but would avoid mechanical calculations so that the principles can be better understood.
Amit was a great speaker and knew the course material very well. No attendee could bowl him out with any questions and he explained all concepts very diligently. Andrei was also of great assistance. Really enjoyed the course and would recommend to anyone!
