I loved the initial excel shortcuts and tricks section. I found the modelling part of the course to be quite unstructured and difficult to follow. Lots of copying off the board as the instructor entered numbers into the model - didn't feel like the best use of time or the best way to learn. Perhaps given there were three instructors, you could have split the group into subgroups based on excel ability or financial background.

Went on a little long, loved the energy of the presenter and the fact that there were three people there to help. Also I think the materials are extensive. However, I'm not sure what the goal of Excel training was. I liked the shortcut session and the "driver tree" but the financial model content that should have either been split between people with finance experience and without or a little less content based. (This was more a "financial model training" than an "excel training")

I want that this course will be divided in several sections and given practical part with each part.

Super slow dragged out. Modeling is not deep enough. Why do we do infrastructure and project finance models if people can't get a grasp of DCF and LBO? The amount of time spent on useless information or tasks could be better used to do real power modeling and formatting from scratch. Non internship analysts have zero clue on how to start a model, which colors to use or formulas in general. Serge and the trainers are good but the content is super bad. Its like having Messi play with highschoolers and expecting the team to be great.

Dear Team, Appreciate the materials, very useful and detailed! However, would be happy to have more comprehensive overview - more about "why" rather than "how". Not just remember steps but to understand the overall picture. Thank you for remainding us shortcuts during exercises - appriciate and would like to have more this things Thank you!

We expect to have a fundamental basis of finance but the course looks more advance or the trainer does not take this into his consideration. The course title should be changed to "Finance for finance"

The trainer looks expert of the course content but lack teaching skills

Actually I didn't get the full benefit from the course. no details, the main information not explained, even the content there is no explanation the slides not clear and the abbreviation is not explained (ex. AML) the course not suitable for beginners or expert (not fundamental not advanced) there should an introduction course for two days then this course

A little tedious, I think the material could have been presented in a faster/more interesting format.

The trainer was very good and the material was okay, however it was very intense to have everything covered in a non-stop one day and a half period. An improvement opportunity would be to break the sections of Accounting and Excel over the entire week, mixing with other topics covered by BCG during the Consulting Starter training. E.g.: have accounting Wednesday morning and Excel Thursday and Friday morning, breaking the session in 3 days.
