Great instructor, made the course interesting and enjoyable.
This course is informative, provides profound understanding of protection system basics, and the course's note covers almost all types of protection relays and it is really a great reference for protection basic understanding. The provided tutorials, scenarios are insightful and makes you grasp the protection system basics (essentially IDMT which is the core of the course), also to logically thinking for a fault finding. The tutor Chris Wilson is very expert, knowledgeable, and kind who makes sure to deliver the course at the utmost. I am honoured to be lectured by Chris! The practical part is a great way to understand and apply the approached protection settings. The most tutorial I liked is (all of them in fact) is the fault finding, which is masterpiece! The centre facility is astounding which is equipped with numerous types of equipment, especially switchgears, in additionto the relays and other equipment for other courses. The stuff are so respectful and kind! I would prefer to review the course note, as some contents were challenging to grasp. Also, the tutorials answer sheets might include an explanation and elaboration why each step is done, although they are really great and well prepared (and personally I understood the mentioned steps). As for the canteen, the food is very nice. However, I would prefer to mention if the food is halal, especially at the time menu sent to us weeks before the course schedule. Overall, this course is great and I am very glad and proud to have this course at Farady Centre and to be lectured by Chris Wilson! Many thanks for this course!

Very good course .. challenging but rewarding
The changing of the tutors made the course feel at times a bit disjointed, but on the whole it was a good introduction to understanding the H. V. side of permits. The use of the practice switch gear was very helpful.
