Useful to look at the power of feedback
Sarah P, 19 Mar 2025
It was a good session, but I would have preferred to have seen strategies and role-plays of beneficial feedback to use in an FE environment. It was based primarily on research, so there was not a lot that I could physically take away.

It would be more useful for trainee teachers. I would be disappointed to find any professional colleagues not instinctively using the ideas presented.

Lots of fency words for somthing that is common sense. I did not learn anything new that I am not doing already. However, Brad was very engaging and the 3 hours ( too long) past nicely.

Felt that the start of the day was the best and most useful. The final session about questioning felt like a rehash of stuff that I’ve been told many times over the years. But I think part of the problem is that you had a lot of different educators at very different stages in their careers to try and be relevant for.

I've read quite a lot of this stuff already. Also, I don't think that EAL/ MFL learning follows the same principles, see www.sdkrashen.com as a good start or ask ChatGPT: "How do Rosenshine's principles clash with language teaching methodology."

Slides were rather general in terms of style but content was relevant and interesting
